PADI Sidemount - course description

The PADI sidemount course consists of 1 day training in our pool, followed by 4 open water dives, which are done over 2 days.

 

The first day will be dedicated to equipment setup; you will spend time with your instructor to adjust and fit your harness, get in the pool to learn and understand your buoyancy with your new equipment and practice some drills underwater, all in our beautiful infinity pool.
On days 2 and 3, you will go out on our boat for 2 dives on each day. The PADI Sidemount course requires only 3 training dives, however, we believe an extra dive is beneficial to help your both your comfort and skill levels! 

Schedule: 

Day 1: Pool training.  From 8am - afternoon.  The duration will be dependent on the student.  There will be a break for lunch (included in the price).

Day 2 & 3: Meet 7:30am.  Two dives separated by 1 hour surface interval. Return to the dive centre by 1pm where lunch will be served (included in the price)

What do I need for my PADI Sidemount specialty course? 

Prerequisites: You need to be certified as PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver

 

Age: You are required to be 15 years or older

 

Medical: For all PADI courses you are required to complete the PADI medical form; download it here. You may be required to get clearance from a doctor before the start of any in-water activity so please review the form first. If you have any questions or if you think you will answer "yes" to any questions on page 2 of the form, please get in touch with us.

 

Theory: On payment of the deposit, we will issue you with the PADI e-learning materials.  Simply download the PADI app and you can complete the all the theory at home before you arrive, leaving you more time to enjoy your holiday!

Your course fee includes:

- Lunch every day of the course

- E-learning and your PADI certification

- Course in a group of maximum 4 students with PADI instructor

- Full use of our rental sidemount equipment

- Water, tea, coffee and snacks

- All taxes and service fees

Your PADI E-learning material is issued to you when you book. Once issued, it is yours to keep and can be used at any PADI dive centre, but it cannot be refunded.

For courses booking:

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before your activity: half refund will be given (minus bank or credit card fees), or you may reschedule according to our availability

  • Cancellation less than 14 days before your activity: no refund will be given, however, you may reschedule according to our availability.
